I'm a big fan of guitars and those who can play them. Through a series of blessings I probably don't deserve, I have had the good fortune of becoming friends with some of the truly elite acoustic guitar players of our generation. In late 2023, my friend, world famous guitarist and composer Peppino D'Agostino, suggested that my home would be a good place for a guitar workshop.

 

I took the idea and ran with it. The goal was to provide a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere for guitar enthusiasts regardless of their skills or experience level. The workshop had to be affordable for everyone, and it had to be FUN!

I decided to name the workshop in honor of dear friends Alice and Norris Tibbetts, who were without a doubt, the most impactful people in my life when it comes to my personal journey with the guitar. Sadly, they have passed on: Alice in 2016 at the age of 92, and Norris in 2022 at 101. I can't possibly repay my debt of gratitude to them, but this workshop is my way of paying it forward. Their legacy lives on through the Tibbetts Memorial Acoustic Camp.
